Terms of Service
Last updated: 15 April 2026
1. Overview
BHP Engage ("the Platform") is an internal employee engagement platform operated by BHP. These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the Platform. By signing in, you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms.
The Platform is intended solely for use by authorised BHP employees and approved contractors with a valid BHP Microsoft account. Unauthorised access or use is strictly prohibited.
2. Eligibility
Access to the Platform is restricted to individuals who:
- Hold a valid, active BHP Microsoft (Entra ID) account;
- Are currently employed by, or engaged as a contractor with, BHP; and
- Have been assigned to an eligible Entra ID security group by BHP IT.
Access is automatically revoked when your BHP account is deprovisioned. You must not share your account credentials or permit others to access the Platform on your behalf.
3. Recognition Points
Points earned through the Platform are symbolic recognition tokens only. They have no monetary value, cannot be transferred between users, cannot be exchanged for cash, and do not constitute a financial instrument or benefit of any kind under Australian employment law or otherwise.
Points are awarded at BHP's sole discretion through HR-managed programs and events. BHP reserves the right to adjust, expire, or revoke points at any time, including to correct errors or address policy violations.
Reward redemption options are subject to availability and may change without notice. Fulfilled redemptions are final and points cannot be refunded once a redemption has been approved.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Platform only for its intended purpose. You must not:
- Attempt to manipulate, forge, or fraudulently claim points or badges;
- Share, reproduce, or distribute QR codes in a manner that allows unauthorised scanning;
- Attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Platform or its infrastructure;
- Use the Platform in any way that violates BHP's Code of Conduct, IT Acceptable Use Policy, or applicable law; or
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to derive source code from the Platform.
BHP may investigate suspected misuse and take appropriate action, including suspension of access and referral to HR or disciplinary processes.
5. Privacy and Data
Your use of the Platform involves the collection and processing of personal data as described in the BHP Engage Privacy Statement. By using the Platform, you acknowledge that your participation data (including event attendance, points earned, and badges awarded) may be visible to HR administrators and, where leaderboards are enabled, to other employees.
6. Platform Availability
The Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. BHP does not guarantee uninterrupted availability and may take the Platform offline for maintenance, upgrades, or at BHP's discretion without prior notice.
BHP reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Platform at any time without liability.
7. Changes to These Terms
BHP may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The date of the most recent revision is shown at the top of this page. Continued use of the Platform following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
8. Contact
For questions about these Terms or to report a misuse concern, contact your HR Business Partner or submit a request through the BHP IT Service Desk.
